Getting there
By Air: Nearest airport is Goa.
By Rail: Nearest railhead is Savantwadi.
By Road: Mumbai-Panvel-Pen-Chiplun-Savantwadi-Amboli 600 kms.
Pune-Satara-Kolhapur-Nipani-Ajra-Amboli 495 Kms.
State Transport buses ply from Mumbai to Savantwadi, and Savantwadi to Amboli.

Amboli
Amboli is a cool place and the accommodation and food available is quiet reasonable. In peak season it is advisable to make prior bookings of the Hotel.

Goa Trip
A one day trip to Goa is possible if you have your own vehicle. Goa is approximately 90 Kms. from Amboli and if you leave in the morning you can visit Goa and come back to Amboli in the evening.

Public Transport
If you do not have your own vehicle, Rickshaws are available in Amboli to visit various points in Amboli, However the public transport available from Amboli to go to places like Savantwadi is State Transport Buses and care should be taken while returning back to Amboli as there are no return buses to Amboli from Savantwadi after 7 pm. in the evening .
